Set along Flathead Lake near Polson, The Cove Cabin replaces an existing one-bedroom, one-bath cabin with a more thoughtful version of the owners’ primary space on the property.

Designed by Davis Walker Designs, the new cabin keeps a compact footprint while making better use of every square foot. The one-bedroom layout incorporates built-in storage, a dedicated workspace, an open kitchen and living area, and large openings that extend the interior toward the lake. A generous covered patio and deck add another layer of living space outside, creating room to gather, eat, or simply stay protected from the weather without asking the cabin itself to become oversized.

Because the larger property already supports visiting family and guests, this cabin can remain focused on the people who live in it most. The result is a small lakefront home shaped around everyday use: warm, efficient, connected to the water, and intentionally restrained in scale.
