This focused interior remodel brought a cleaner, more contemporary feel to the kitchen, living room and central stair while keeping the palette warm and understated.

Wide-plank wood floors run through the living room, where black-framed windows and crisp casing contrast against smooth white walls. The main focal point is a stepped fireplace wall with a wide electric insert, a recessed television and a slate-gray granite bench that wraps around the base. Its generous proportions leave room for art, plants and additional seating without taking away from the openness of the room.

The kitchen carries the same restrained approach through custom cabinetry, minimal hardware and a gray subway tile backsplash. A sculptural hood surround anchors the six-burner range, while a pot filler and built-in microwave add function without crowding the countertops. Nearby, a custom steel stair railing capped in white oak connects the material palette across all three levels.
